Government responds to "Please Go" petition

Remember the petition calling for Gordon Brown to resign?

Glory be, the government have responded:

The Prime Minister is completely focussed on restoring the economy, getting people back to work and improving standards in public services. As the Prime Minister has consistently said, he is determined to build a stronger, fairer, better Britain for all.

Well, that's just fine then, isn't it. Over 72,000 people signed that petition (and since it was spread around the blogosphere but not much further, I expect many more would have) and that's the best response they can come up with.

Fuck me, it's like PMQs, isn't it?

It is not a very impressive reply from our great leader, is it?

What a twat! Even when he is told by 72,000 that nobody wants him in power he ignores it.
He is just a power mad feckless twat.

That just cracked me up.

I suppose I had better do the fisking bit if nobody else will.

"The Prime Minister is completely focussed on restoring the economy" - restoring the economy to what? Where it was before Labour played 'Things Can Only Get Better' in 1997?

"Getting people back to work" - How? By inventing more QUANGOs and more public sector jobs? I think not.

"Improving standards in public services" - fuck me, has anybody who has private sector experience actually tried working in it? Jesus. It is a million miles away from anything resembling a decent standard.

"As the Prime Minister has consistently" LIED, "he is determined to build a stronger, fairer, better Britain for all" - we had better rephrase that in non-doubletalk and say 'a more politically correct multicultural divided and impoverished welfare state'.

I larfed.

I would have been more impressed if he had just said "fuck you". At least that would have been honest about his feelings.
